Manual Installation Instructions If you have had any problems or errors in installing The 1677/89 BCF Assistant using the setup.exe program then The 1677/89 BCF Assistant can be installed manually as follows:- Copying the Required Files to Your Hard Disk 1 In Windows Expolorer create a directory on your hard disk named BCFASSIS. 2 Copy the following files to the directory you just created BCFA32.HLP BCFA32.CNT BCFA.ICO BCFA32.TXT (this file) Once these files are copied to your hard disk, you can then manually create a Group and Item on the Start Menu as follows: Creating a The 1677/89 BCF Assistant Group 1 Click on the Start button and then select Settings and Taskbar under Settings. 2 Click on the Start Menu Programs and click on the Advanced button. 3 Double click on the Programs Folder in the right side of the window. 4 Choose New then Folder under the file Menu. A new folder icon will be created 5 Type BCFAssistant(32) to rename the new folder. Creating the The 1677/89 BCF Assistant Program Item 1 Open the BCFAssistant(32) folder you have just created by double clicking on its icon. 2 From the File menu, choose New Shortcut. A Create Shortcut dialog box will appear. 3 In the Command Line Box type WINHLP32.EXE C:\BCFASSIS\BCFA32.HLP and press the Next button. This assumes you have copied the files to the BCFASSIS as created above. 4 In the Select name for Shortcut box put The 1677-89 BCF Assistant (32) and press the Finish button. Note you must use a "dash" between 77 & 89 or else the information will not be accepted.
